Our Story
Dye Workshop was founded by Joseph David, a Detroit-based fashion designer and garment dyer who is taking fashion to new heights with his experiential dye workshops. With a MBA from the Wayne State University's Mike Ilitch School of Business and experience as Owner/Operator of haute couture streetwear company David Vintage, Joseph David has a unique perspective on fashion and is passionate about giving people the opportunity to express their creativity in unique and fun ways.
At Joseph David's Dye Workshop experience, attendees can learn the art of dyeing garments, fabrics, and create their own unique pieces. With the guidance of Joseph David and his team, participants can explore their own creative ideas, create art, and express themselves through fashion.
Jospeh David is dedicated to inspiring the next generation of fashion designers and is passionate about creating an equitable and sustainable future for fashion in Detroit. He is committed to providing opportunities for fashion and accessory designers, particularly youth and people of color, and is working to promote Detroit’s homegrown fashion, retail, and garment manufacturing industries as economic catalysts for the city.
